WEEK 3: Research & Create Blog

    On third week, I was given a task to find some journals that related with my project title "Solar Powered Vertical Farming With IOT". 

Objective:

1. To find problems statement on this project.
2. Update blog for every week progress.

Result:

    Problem Statement:

1. Majority farmers need a large area to cultivate. So the plant that can be produce are limited if their land are small.
2. The watering systems need the electric supply from TNB to run the water pump for all plants, it will cost high bill.
3. Farmers need to check the water level in the water tank frequently, it will waste their time and energy.

    Analysis:

1. For problem statement 1, my project will reduce the space for the plants. It will give more space and produce high quantity of product.
2. For problem statement 2, my project will cut the electric bill because I'm using solar system as main supply for the watering system.
3. For problem statement 3, my project will created with "INTERNET OF THINGS". It has a water level sensor in the water tank that can detect the level of water. it will give notification to smartphone when the water level is below the appropriate rate.

Conclusion: 

    I can conclude that, my problem statement is clearly stated and I understand the task that had given by my supervisor. All the information given is the search results from some journals.
